[Bug 1055433] [NEW] Accelerometer non functional (acer-wmi) in Acer W500/501

Public bug reported:

The accelerometer is not detected as an acpi event. There is a patch
(attached) which when applied to the acer-wmi.c source, allows the
accelerometer to work.

It would be nice if the patch could be added upstream so us early ubuntu
tab adopters can rotate at our leisure!

I found the patch in this link: http://www.linuxforums.org/forum
/hardware-peripherals/189360-accelerometer-help-needed-arch-linux-
kernel-3-4-a.html

I did not make the patch myself.

** Affects: acerhk (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Package changed: grub2 (Ubuntu) => acerhk (Ubuntu)
