Title:
trying to put my bootloader onto a madam raid1 device.

Status in “grub-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  grub hates my revodrive (http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-revodrive-
pci-express-ssd.html), it installs, and then fails to boot and drops
me to the grub recovery shell.

... okay, so I also have a stata raid1 array with mdadm, so i tried
to throw my /boot onto that device, and the installer crashed (and
this is the bug report for that crash).

Going to try this for the 3rd time. But so far we have an installer
that thinks it works, but fails to boot, and an installer that also
  crashes.

It would be nice if mdadm was built into the install process. Most
raid arrays are dead simple, I wish ubuntu's installer allowed you to
  setup a simple raid array.
