Ubuntu 10.10 reached End of Life April 10, 2012, so even if this is
still present in Maverick, I doubt it will be fixed at this point. I
tried running "update-manager -d" on Ubuntu 12.04 and there, the dialogs
use the expected numbers. (Likely these are changed for each release
based on which will be the next). I have to admit I haven't checked back
with Maverick, but as it doesn't seem to affect the latest stable
release, it looks like it has been fixed. I therefor think it is safe to
mark this Fixed.
Feel free to report any other issues you com across in the future.

Title:
u-m -c -d from 10.10 to natty states "to version 10.10"
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: update-manager
Running "update-manager -c -d" to upgrade from Ubuntu 10.10 to latest
natty shows the dialogue:
Distribution Upgrade
Upgrading Ubuntu to version 10.10
whereas the previous screen stated the upgrade would be to 11.04.
Ideally the two dialogues would be self coherent and use the same
datasource for the target.
