Now it works. Don't know what it was. Maybe it's because of some recent
upgrades. But now there are boot messages from upstart-jobs as well as
from sysv-init.

Everything works as expected!

Sorry for bothering...

Title:
  plymouth-upstart-bridge not getting all upstart-jobs

Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have recently installed a precise server which logs messages on the console during boot, there is no graphical splash screen involved.
Most of the time messages informing about the start of all the services are printed like

   * Starting isc-dhcp-server...
  [ ok ]

The messages get mixed up with messages from the Sys-V-Init, but
  that's ok.

But after a closer look, I've noticed there are several services
missing on the console, despite they are started und running.

Even, after a few reboots, I only get messages from the Sys-V-Init, no
  upstart at all.

I've looked around and found the plymouth-upstart-bridge and looked
into the sources to find it is the tool which print out the console
messages. But I've not poked around any further so far.

So what's the problem here? Is it the bridge? Is it the dbus-
  connection?

I would like to get messages of every service which is started to be
printed on the console screen. It's an important check to see, if
everything is up and running after a reboot.

  Regards
  tom
