Title:
Ubiquity reports an error towards the end on "ubuntu plugininstall.py"
  - "/usr/share/ubiquity/plugininstall.py", line 1710, in <module>

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Towards the end of the installation, Ubiquity reports an error. I
enabled the embedded terminal to add some verbosity to the
installation process since this is beta quality software. Copied from
the terminal, I've got what seems to be the process triggering the
  error:

  ubuntu plugininstall.py: subprocess.CalledProcessError: Comand '[apt-
  clone, 'restore-new-distro', '/target/ubiquity-apt-clone/apt-clone-
  state-ubuntu.tar.gz', 'quantal', '--destination', '/target']' returned
  non-zero exit status 1

I am using Ubuntu Gnome remix edition, with the alpha2 live image on
  the amd64 architecture.
