Title:
Ubiquity installs grub-efi where grub-pc is needed

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I'm not really sure what information you're going to need from me. I
can possibly get logs from a fresh install later if need be.

Anyway, what I do have right now:

Installing Ubuntu 12.04 in a dual boot with Windows 7
  4 Partition layout:
  sda1 - Windows boot
  sda2 - Windows
  sda3 - Ubuntu
  sda4 - Recovery

This was on a Lenovo B570.

In short, I did a fresh install and when I rebooted, I got the error
from the windows NT bootloader that essentially said Operating system
  not found.

I rebooted, tried the chroot method of reinstalling grub, but with no success.
Finally, I tried the chroot method, but installed grub-pc and it worked just fine.
