Ubuntu 10.10 has reached End-Of-Life, therefore you no longer can
download them from usual locations.

Please use 12.04.1 LTS. Everything should be ok with that one.

  Cannot download the metalink and therefore the ISO

Status in Wubi, Windows Ubuntu Installer:
  Incomplete
Status in “installation-guide” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
   I have downloaded Ubuntu/desktop 10-10. But while installation according to the instruction, it is stopped with a DB saying wrong aurgument   The log is saying as under
