Public bug reported:

I had just run the upgrade to 12.04 (pangolin).  Got this error after I
booted in the machine.  During the upgrade I was asked where grub-pc
should be located.  I believe I chose the correct disk (/dev/sda--
partition is on sda1).  BTW, I'm running through VirtualBox.
