The following may be of assistance to someone - I cannot even get to my
repositories let alone generate a bug report to send  .The following
packages have unmet dependencies:

glib-networking: Depends: glib-networking-services (>= 2.33.12-0ubuntu1) but 2.33.12-0ubuntu1 is installed
                 Depends: glib-networking-common (= 2.33.12-0ubuntu1) but 2.33.12-0ubuntu1 is installed
glib-networking-services: Depends: glib-networking-common (= 2.33.12-0ubuntu1) but 2.33.12-0ubuntu1 is installed
libsane: Depends: adduser (>= 3.47) but 3.113+nmu1ubuntu1 is installed
         Depends: libsane-common (= 1.0.22-7ubuntu1) but it is not installed
         Depends: acl (>= 2.2.49-4) but 2.2.51-5ubuntu1 is installed
         Depends: libc6 (>= 2.11) but 2.15-0ubuntu17 is installed
         Depends: libgphoto2-2 (>= 2.4.10.1) but 2.4.13-1ubuntu1.2 is installed
         Depends: libgphoto2-port0 (>= 2.4.10.1) but 2.4.13-1ubuntu1.2 is installed
         Depends: libjpeg8 (>= 8c) but 8c-2ubuntu7 is installed
         Depends: libusb-0.1-4 (>= 2:0.1.12) but 2:0.1.12-20 is installed
There is apparently conflict with the presence of 32 bit files co-existing on my hard drive.
