Public bug reported:

After installing the last updates available via update manager (7th Sept) the unity desktop has become very unstable.
It seems to restart it self(about about an hour of use from reboot). I loose the min/max controls on each window and keyboard stops functioning so can't do restart from a terminal and forced to do reboot.
Also coming back from a suspend I do not get a password dialogue so am forced to reboot.

I'm running
Release 12.04 (precise) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.2.0-30-generic
GNOME 3.4.2
7.7 GiB

Intel® Core™ i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10GHz × 4

This is my main work machine( I'm a professional developer) and has been
completely stable running ubuntu since last november.

** Affects: build-essential (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
