Title:
Install program crashed during hardware detection

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Trying to do a clean install from CD on a Toshiba Netbook NB 305,
which has a native screen resolution of 1024x600 and 2Gb RAM.
Everything seemed to be going normal until it attempted to detect
hardware configuration. This computer has an 80Gb Intel SSD for its
hard drive. It also uses the onboard Intel graphics system (does not
have a separately installed graphics board). The installation was
being done via an external DVD drive via USB.
