Thalass, can you please tell me what your issue was? I arrived here
because of getting this error while trying to launch X3:Reunion as well.

Title:
  Inconsistency detected by ld.so:

Status in “eglibc” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Since the upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04 any version of skype I try to launch (statig, dynamic, from the repositories) will crash and this error message will appear if started from the command line:
   Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-open.c: 667: _dl_open: Assertion `_dl_debug_initialize (0, args.nsid)->r_state == RT_CONSISTENT' failed!

  I have purged the packages and tried reinstalling them without
  success. Haven't tried much else.

  regards myrtille
