Title:
KPackageKit stable release Kubuntu 12.04 fails Beef install (post-
installation script returned error exit status 127)

Status in “beef” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Could not install beef:

subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
  status 127

  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When updating Kubuntu via KPackageKit to 12.04 (the listed next stable
release), the terminal session indicated a problem connecting to the
mirror site, but then continued. A second or two later, it reported
  that:

You don't have /root/.gem/ruby/1.9.2/bin in your PATH, hence the exe
could not be run. I checked my PATH and included
/root/.gem/ruby/1.9.2/bin, and retried the upgrade, with no success,
even with the PATH for ruby set OK.

Current install is Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS and logs are attached.

Any help would be most appreciated. If you require further information
regarding the error or my installation, please let me know. Apologies
if this problem has been resolved and I've not found the solution.

  Thanks in advance!

  A silly noob :-)
