  Wireless very slow on thinkpad x61s with 12.04

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hi,

  I installed Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop i386 on my Lenovo Thinkpad X61s.

  Wireless is very very slow, quite impossible to do the updates,
  internet surfing very slow etc.

  Regarding bug #1018423 I tested kernels 3.5 rc5 and 3.6 rc4 with no
  better result.

  Thank you for you help on this very annoying problem.
