Your issue looks very similar to bug 1008717. Did you search launchpad
before filing this bug? If yes, is there a significant difference in
your bug report? Did you see scroll bars in the slideshow only or
somewhere else as well?

  Ubiquity doesn't size the window properly

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  While installing Quantal Daily, I noted that the content of the
  ubiquity dialog doesn't fit in the window, and thus results in the
  scrollbars on either side of the window.

  It is especially annoying when ubiquity shows the slideshow. A
  screenshot is provided to make the statement clear.
