Marking High since this would make it very difficult to net install such
a server (which for some might be the only sane way).

** Changed in: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided => Medium

Title:
  Missing kernel modules for Mellanox ConnectX HCA Ethernet

Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  The initrd.gz found at install/netboot/ubuntu-
  installer/amd64/initrd.gz on the ubuntu-12.04-server-amd64.iso does
  not contain the mlx4_en kernel module.

  This is needed if your planning to use the Mellanox ConnectX HCA
  Ethernet  during network install.
