Public bug reported:

+ sudo chroot /tmp/demo.mnt grub-probe --device-map= --target=partmap
--device /dev/nbd0

+..

I've attached a reproduction script that demonstrates the issue - I ran
into this tracking down why a vm build was spectacularly unsuccessful at
booting. The host machine I'm using is amd64, FWIW.

** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Attachment added: "Script to reproduce. Read before running."
