Confirming because it happens to several people. Does this happen with a

Title:
  Upgrade removes Device Manager

Status in “ubuntu-meta” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-device-manager

I'm guessing gnome-device-manager has been removed from the default
install in Hardy -- thats fine, to the average user its more confusing
and intimidating than anything, and won't be useful one bit.

However, I do open it up from time to time and was surprised to see it
gone after upgrading. An upgrade shouldn't remove packages you have
installed unless they are deprecated and replaced, like gaim ->
pidgin. Is there a replacement that I am missing?
