For me, it seems that the problem is more general, affecting every
launcher that points to an *.xpm file for its icon.

Title:
  EclipseIDE icon too big in Dash, not launching on being clicked

Status in “dash” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  The icon for EclipseIDE in the Dash home is too big than what it is
  expected to be(See attachement). Also, it doesnt respond in a single
  click. On clicking a couple of times, a descriptive window opens
  up(See attachment). It is still not launched upon clicking the launch
  button.

  1) The release of Ubuntu I am using: 12.10
  2) The version of the package I am using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname':
