Title:
usb-creator creates broken install usb sticks

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
i try to install 11.10 i386 desktop from usb flash. i have one
installation from cd-rom and use usb-creator with same .iso file that
i booted and installed this installation of 11.10. usb creator does
something, asks password for erasing flash and for installing boot
code, and says that all is done.

i try to boot from this flash drive. i choose to boot from usb drive
  and it start boots.

i have some time starring at red/white dots and it throws me to
busybox with report, that it can't found live media, also, if i press
ESC during starring at dots - i can see this repeating message: can't
  open /dev/sdb no medium found.

i try to investigate this problem, but got nothing. also, a want to say, that my bios has not any tunable parameters instead of password for booting =) i can't disable cdrom or change ahci/sata or anything =)
