Title:
Installation procedure hangs at the point keyboard

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I downloaded the new Version 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx) Beta 2 from
  http://releases.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/lucid/kubuntu-10.04-beta2-alternate-amd64.iso

For the quick installation i copied this ISO with unetbootin to an 1 GB USB-Stick.
  This works without problems.
I can boot and work with the "Live-CD".

But when i try to install Kubuntu to an free partition the installation hangs in the step "keyboard".
The cursor stays in busy mode with the rotating balls.

  Any ideas for a workaround?

The installation of the version 9.10 does not work on my system because of a Geforce 7900 GS and a TFT with 1680 X 1050.
Net-Installation works but i didn't get Opengl to work.
So i wait hopefully for Kubuntu 10.04.

Currently i work with this system:

  Debian Release: squeeze/sid
    APT prefers testing
    APT policy: (500, 'testing')
  Architecture: amd64 (x86_64)

Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores)
  Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored:LC_ALL set to de_DE)
