Good, that's how it's supposed to be.  (But the ubiquity task on this
bug remains open, since the behaviour without .disk/release_notes_url
was still incorrect.)

Bug description:
  Running Studio on VirtualBox. When clicked on the 'update this
  installer' link (which is next to 'release notes' link) on the welcome
  page, there wasn't any sign of loading/updating or any prompt saying
  the installer is up-to-date.
