Public bug reported:
This issue occurred after using the "Update Manager" application to
apply a complete, system-wide update.
After completing the update, my system fails to boot with the new kernel
(3.2.0-32) that was installed by the update. I can still boot with the
prior kernel revision (3.2.0-32), although I have to manaully select it
from the boot menu.
