** Description changed:

now in Kubuntu 12.10, no notifications appear, kubuntu do not install
  the printer.

to install the printer using the printer manager, printer does not work,
  always with the inactive state.

installing the printer using CUPS, http://localhost:631, the printer
  works!!.

  summary:
No notifications to connect the printer
  no automatic installation.
Installation with Printer Manager does not work.
+
+ this problem also affects to Ubuntu 12.10 but only in the detection, the
+ driver works fine with printer manager of Ubuntu 12.10
