[Bug 1065221] [NEW] Installation via live session does not appear to keep personal files during Re-install

Public bug reported:

When Re-install option is selected to install a quantal (20121010) on
top of another quantal (20121010) the installation does not appear to
retain the personal files and desktop background when the installation
goes through the live session path (ubiquity-dm)

It could although be noticed that the straight installation without the
live session path (ubiquity)  does retain the files.

( the usernames are not kept the same during the subsequent installation
though)
