It IS recognizing LDM on the disk.  My guess is that the LDM headers are
still present from when they were used before, so grub is recognizing
them.  The fact that the dos partition table does not show an LDM
partition however, should bar the detection of LDM I think.

Bug description:
  This happened after an update to grub using Ubuntu 12.10, all the
  sudden one day after updating windows 7 would not boot, i noticed that
  GRUB has now added LDM parameters to the Windows 7 loader in GRUB.
  Windows 7 is in fact NOT installed on LDM.
