Seen: told to install package 'vim' to get program 'gvim'.

The program 'gvim' can be found in the following packages:

* vim-gnome
* vim-tiny
* vim-athena
* vim-gtk
* vim-nox
Try: sudo apt-get install <selected package>
Expected: package 'vim' is not installed.
Difference: package 'vim' *is* installed.
