Same issue here, I can not edit a Mythbuntu file with PiTiVi.
Well, the video is fine, and VLC can play it, if you simply ignore the teletext decoder plugin search.
Couldn't we have a quick fix to ignore seraching for the teletext decoder plugin - I guess teletext is mostly irrelevant when playing or editing videos. bug #327872 seems to be much more generic and maybe we do not wait that long.

When I drag the video into the pitivi window the gnome-codec-install
wizard starts but errors with:-
