Title:
Default kernel should be generic also on upgrades

Status in “grub” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
In dapper when kernels were updated the grub list became long, it's
good that in edgy there are only 2 entries (not counting the recovery
and memtest). I think the generic kernel should be defaulted to
however with the 386 available as a failsafe rather than the default.

I'm suggesting this because the generic kernel supports the advanced
features of new processors like smp, etc.
