[Bug 568762] Re: ubuntu-minimal package is REMOVED when removing ureadahead

Ran across this dependency when installing e4rat. I've created a .deb
metapackage for ubuntu-minimal without the ureadahead dependency here:

https://launchpad.net/~trinitronx/+archive/minimal-no-ureadahead/

DISCLAIMER: I do not guarantee that you won't run into any problems, so if in doubt remove e4rat before upgrade & fix your /etc/default/grub manually.
!!NOTE!!!! Only install this if you really want to and know how to fix things if the upgrade does not work correctly. I haven't tested it as of yet, so just be careful.

Title:
ubuntu-minimal package is REMOVED when removing ureadahead

Status in sreadahead:
  Won't Fix
Status in “ureadahead” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ureadahead

  When removing ureadahead using

  sudo apt-get purge ureadahead

ubuntu-minimal is removed. Due to this, removing ureadahead will
disallow the user to reboot into ubuntu, and a blinking underscore
cursor will present itself on next boot.

Is this intentional? Because previous ubuntu versions can even remove
sreadahead without problems like this. I don't like ureadahead taking
up all my RAM, and I don't login fast enough to take advantage of
  ureadahead anyway.
