Title:
  menu.lst is wrong after install of hardy beta (xp detected as gutsy)

Status in “os-prober” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  I installed the Hardy beta on a system that had

  /dev/sda1 - Windows XP (ntfs)
  /dev/sda2 - /home (ext3)
  /dev/sda3 - extended
    /dev/sda5 - / of Gutsy (ext3)
    /dev/sda6 - /media/other (ext3)
    /dev/sda7 - swap

  I installed to /dev/sda6 asking for a reformat (ext3 again). I mapped

    /dev/sda2 -> /home/old_gutsy
    /dev/sda1 -> /win
    /dev/sda5 -> /gutsy

  Install went smoothly, but after the install the menu.lst did not list
  Windows XP anymore. Instead, it repeated the entries for Gutsy for
  both /dev/sda5 (correct) and /dev/sda1 (bad).

  Please contact me if you need more details.
