Thank you for your report.

Does Update Manager indicate that there's been an error or does it just
crash silently? Could you also execute Update Manager in terminal [1],
reproduce the crash and attach the output (if any) to this report.

[1] To do that open Gnome Terminal from dash and run 'update-manager'.

  Update manager is crashing when I click on install button. For over 1
  month. To update my system I need to update it with apt-get update &&
