Title:
Removing install media at the last step of install is bad

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Install the Quantal beta from a USB key
The last step is a popup window prompting you to reboot
  Pull out the USB key

The popup window will dissapear leaving just the background image

At this point the machine is pretty much unusable.

Going out to a console results in a stream of errors about SQUASHFS:

SQUASHFS error: Unable to read data cache entry [3be4a4f]
SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 3be4a4f, size 7bbc

I would expect to be told not to remove the install media at this
point if bad things will happen, or for bad things not to happen if I
  do.

Either way, I would expect to be given the chance or be prompted to
remove the install media before reboot, so as not to boot straight
back into the installer following the reboot.
