You have been subscribed to a public security bug:
In particuar, when cryptsetup tries to get the cannonical name of a swap
partition, and fails.
NOTE: This error is not only a problem wiith ubuntu:

This error will occur every time a program of the user calls update-
initramfs, which in turn calls cryptsetup

(Where # is partition number)
