Title:
add-apt-repository should not trash my whitespace in sources.list

Status in “software-properties” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
My sources.list is manually managed, and has fields aligned on columns
  for readability in an editor.

Given that add-apt-repository adds the new repository to a new file in
sources.list.d/, it really shouldn't mangle my carefully arranged
  whitespace in sources.list.
