The installation with settings as listed in initial report works
flawless with the alternate installer of Lubuntu 13.04. (I want my
installer back!)

Title:
  Encrypted installation crashes

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
The installation of a dm-crypted system with a partition setup as
below crashes when installing in VBox as on a Dell Latitude E4300.

  unencrpyted:
  250 MB ext4 as /boot
  encrypted:
  12 GB btrfs as /
  8 GB as SWAP
  80 GB as /home
  unencrypted:
  150 GB ext4

Seems as the installer is crashing when trying to do the partitioning
in the background (shortly after choice of location).
