This bug is quite old and should be closed because this Ubuntu version
is EOL.

Title:
  package linux-image-generic 2.6.22.14.21 failed to install/upgrade:

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  A number of packages failed to install, likely because of a cdrom
  problem.

  I'm reporting this as a bug, because there's no decent way in the
  error reporting to "try again". For instance, after I started getting
  errors, I remounted the CD using an ISO on my hard drive that I know
  to be good, and the rest of the system installed without issue, but
  the installation most likely failed (Haven't yet tried a re-boot).

  Now that I have the problem fixed, it would be really nice if I could
  go back and fix those problems, or at least have a collection of data
  about the problem(s) so I can go back and fix manually.
