Updating from 11.10 to 12.04, video no longer works
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I upgraded to 12.04 on one of my machines, and when it starts the
video blanks, and the monitor reports it is no longer connected. I
cannot even start in failsafe X mode (Segmentation fault in X).
Ubuntu is running, because I can ssh to it.
The last line of dmesg is

status 1
