Thanks for the suggestion, manny. This function isn't important enough
to have a button or other control in the window itself. However, it
would make sense as a menu item. So I've just specified menus including
"Select All" and "Select None" items.

Bug description:
  Update Manager does not let you select/deselect all updates in the
  list. This is useful, for example, if you have time/bandwidth to
  install only one or two applications right now.

  (This report previously also covered sorting the list of updates,
  which is tracked separately by bug 280298.)
