Thank you for the quick and helpful response, I will run diagnostics to
make sure my hardware is all in check. Since reporting the bug I have
discovered that I can use the disk to install ubuntu so long as I don't
check the "check for updates while installing" option and instead install
the updates later, but when installing the updates some did not want to
install. I have had no system bugs other than this since, but I did think
it was strange not all the updates would install.
