Status in “readline6” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  The readline version information was not updated with the 6.1 release. This breaks packages checking rl_library_version vs.
  rl_readline_version, such as the test suite of the Term::ReadLine::Gnu perl module.

  Attached is the official patch fixing this
