- Upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04 went wrong - was getting getting cannot fing glibc 2.14 error - in teerminal recovery mode I ran sudo apt-get install -f --fix - this got ubunto back for me - unfortunately the front login screen stetes the release is 11.10 but my desctop 64 bit thinks its 12.04 - get a message stating cannot upgrade from precise to oneric not possible - I ignored the partial up grade screen and downloade 1106 upgrades and here I am at this point -package grub-pc 1.99-21ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
