I'm sorry that no one responded to your issue in a timely manner. It
sounds like there is a bug in the handling of udev events for dmraid
related to this card. I'll reassign this to the dmraid package.
** Package changed: mountall (Ubuntu) => dmraid (Ubuntu)
** Summary changed:
- Boot failure, can't find /home
+ Boot failure, "the disk drive for /home is not ready" (/dev/mapper/nvidia_cfffbfga6 /home)

Title:
Boot failure, "the disk drive for /home is not ready"
(/dev/mapper/nvidia_cfffbfga6 /home)
Status in “dmraid” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: grub2
Very repeatable, it takes two reboots to start Natty Beta. Clean
install of Beta to a pair of Samsung HD502IJ 500 GB 16MB cache SATA
drives in a RAID 1 configuration using BIOS fakeraid. AMD x2 64-bit.
1st boot: "The disk drive for /home is not ready..."
2nd boot: GRUB screen "GNU GRUB version 1.99~rc1-8ubuntu1" with
options to load kernel, kernel in recovery mode, two memory tests. At
this point if I select the kernel the system boots fine.
fstab:
/dev/mapper/nvidia_cfffbfga1 / ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/mapper/nvidia_cfffbfga6 /home ext4 defaults 0 2
/dev/mapper/nvidia_cfffbfga5 none swap sw 0 0
I'm confident it's not hardware, this same config was very stable
under Lucid Lynx.
