Title:
Creation of encrypted filesystem fails if the users gives a bad
  hostname (eg. null, sda, etc)

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
During installation the device-name of a encrypted filesystem is
defined through the hostname. If you input a bad hostname (e.g. null,
sda, ...) there will be an error.

  Syslog:

  /dev/null already exists.

If you go back and change the hostname (e.g hostname1) the error will
occur again with the same error-message.
