Title:
Bad vista fonts aliasing
Status in “fontconfig” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
A lot of documents are starting to use the new vista fonts like
cambria, calibri, and others.
Those fonts can be installed extracting them from the PowerPoint viewer, following the instructions from here:
http://ubuntu.wordpress.com/2007/09/16/installing-vista-fonts-in-ubuntu/
The problem is that those fonts are displayed ugly, without aliasing,
for sizes less than 16px. See atached screenshot. Other fonts don't
show this problem.
I'm using hardy, with LCD subpixel aliasing.
