Title:
  package grub-pc 1.98-1ubuntu7 failed to install/upgrade:

Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

  i was upgrading from ubuntu karmik 9.10 to ubuntu lucid 10.04.1 with the update manager when clicked upgrade
  when prompt to install grub in what device, window turned unavailable (shadowed) for 1 or two minutes and suddenly turned available but useless, because can't check the appropriate device, may be because the USB device was recognized (KINGSTON Traveler Black 16GB), so, clicked in show details and in console showed just ctrl-c and a message prompted grub-pc was not installed.

  But on finishing all steps, automatically ran apt-dpkg and selected
  the appropriate device on console mode and everything was ok.

  Thank you.
