Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gcc-4.4

  From 9.10 to 10.04 upgrade
  and with kernel 2.6.31-16-generic the upgrade stopped with this error.

  Before the update i couldn't update my system because of destroyed
  packages. I tried several methods to fix but none worked so i decided
  to upgrade full my system.
