[Bug 1000544] Re: Update Manager crashed when adding PPA

I removed the offending google PPA lines in sources.list so I could use
update manager again. But I thought it was worthwhile to submit a bug
report considering those "bad" entries caused update manager to crash.

I can recreate if needed as well.

  Trying to add PPA - now Update Manager crashes with this error:

  'E:Malformed line 57 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist
  parse), E:The list of sources could not be read., E:The package lists
  or status file could not be parsed or opened.'

  lsb_release -rd
  Description:	Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
  Release:	12.04

  apt-cache policy pkgname
  E: Malformed line 57 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse)
