Title:
unreadable processing in installation of packages
Status in “aptitude” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: aptitude
I administrate my ubuntu 6.10 (edgy) with putty from a windows os. Everytime I update or install new packages, the processing part like replace version x with version y is overwriting the console, so sometimes it happens, that I can't read the output.
A workaround is to start aptitude with
myserver:~$ clear && sudo aptitude && clear
If I start aptitude like this, the output is readable clear and I can
read all messages like warnings or errors.
Maybe this is a bug or a not includes feature.
For further questions or sample outputs please do not hesitate to
contact me (at the moment there aren't updates, so I can't give a
sample output).
Thank you in advance
Daniel
