Title:
install aborts before completion; MD5SUM correct for download

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
installing 12.04 over 11.10 using downloaded ISO (md5sum correct)
burnt to DVD. Install aborted about 30% of way through installation
after copying files. All parameters w.r.t keyboard, locale, users
already sey. The download updates was not checked, but system was
connected to internet. Partition size large enough; using a separate
/home directory (as existed for 11.10).

Will attempt reinstall and expect system is dead in the meantime. If
fails a second time, will install 11.10 and then upgrade to 12.04.
